It is recommended that you pre-book a vehicle prior to your arrival at the airport, to avoid disappointment. When driving in Tallinn and throughout Estonia, stay on the right-hand side and wear seat belts at all times, both in the front and the back of the car. Also worth noting, the rules of the road in Estonia require that you put your lights on, both day and night.
Parking in Tallinn is straightforward and car parks operate on a 'pay and display' basis. Street parking is also available in the Old Town area and around Pirita, with meter maids close by. The city's street parking is free after 19:00 on weekdays, after 15:00 on Saturdays and all day on Sunday.
